When are you open?

The Institute is open every day. The main halls can be visited when not in use for activities. The park is always accessible.

Every Sunday and on public holidays at 3:30 pm, visitors can join a guided tour in Italian with the nun Carla.
Before your visit, we kindly ask you to read the visitor guidelines to help you enjoy your experience in harmony with the place and with others.

What can I visit?

Inside the castle, you can visit:

Lama Yeshe Hall
The main meditation hall (Gompa)
The Mandala Hall, featuring a large wooden mandala
The library, which houses around 4,500 valuable books on Buddhism and other Eastern traditions

In the park, you’ll find stupas, prayer wheels, statues, and Tibetan-style frescoes. You can also visit the Cenresig Gompa, a former chapel restored in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.

In the summer months, from Thursday to Sunday, the Tea Garden is open. It’s a peaceful spot near the prayer wheel and pond, where you can enjoy high-quality teas and herbal infusions from around the world, inspired by ancient traditions.

Can I book a visit for a tour or a school group?

Yes. The Institute offers guided tours and school visits.

Where can I eat?

Lunch and Dinner: The Institute’s cafeteria offers a rich vegetarian and vegan menu.You can book your meal in advance (before your arrival or by 9:30 AM on the same day) by calling +39 050 685654 or emailing info@iltk.org
Coffee Shop: Open Wednesday to Sunday. It also includes a shop with books and handcrafted Tibetan and Nepalese items, such as statues, thangkas, Tibetan malas, meditation cushions, dorjes and bells, cymbals, incense, and more. All shop items are also available online at ILTKShop
