What is a Puja?
Puja means prayers, to cultivate positive energy, remove obstacles, and create the conditions for happiness by making offerings to enlightened beings and to the monastic community of monks and nuns.
A puja is an opportunity to generate sincere, virtuous motivation and make offerings with a pure heart. Through this, negative circumstances can be transformed, and supportive conditions can arise. Prayers performed by ordained monks and nuns are considered especially powerful, as they are grounded in the strength of their pure ethical discipline.

Dedicate a Puja
You may dedicate a puja for yourself, loved ones, or friends—for success in personal or professional endeavors, for clearing obstacles to health, or for the support of someone who is unwell. Pujas are also performed for those who are dying, to help bring peace and clarity during the transition, and for the deceased, to bless and guide their consciousness toward a favorable rebirth and liberation.
Each puja follows a specific practice that includes reciting prayers and mantras, along with visualizations that support the spiritual intention of the ceremony.
