A rare opportunity to study and practice Buddhism in an inspiring setting. The Institute’s programmes, unique within the FPMT, offer an ideal learning environment.

Lama Tzong Khapa Institute offers a wide variety of one-off courses and retreats, as well as regular programs throughout the year, on Buddhism and meditation in the Tibetan tradition of Lama Tzong Khapa.

Courses and retreats are of varying lengths and varying levels of difficulty, ranging from introductory, intermediate and advanced. Weekend courses, as well as longer courses held during holidays, are taught by both qualified Tibetan masters and Western teachers.

The Institute also offers a wide range of regular weekend courses and longer study programs on Tibetan Buddhism, which are repeated at frequent intervals.

FPMT Basic Program

Designed by Lama Zopa Rinpoche, the FPMT Basic Program provides a comprehensive, practice oriented transmission of the Buddha’s teachings as exemplified by the tradition of the great Tibetan master, Je Tsongkhapa. Chosen for a contemporary setting.

FPMT Masters Program

The FPMT’s most advanced education program was developed by Geshe Jampa Gyatso at ILTK, and it is the actualization of Lama Yeshe’s vision for a comprehensive Dharma education.

Inspired by and adapted from the traditional Geshe Studies at the Gelugpa monastic universities, it provides a full-time, in-depth education for students of the Tibetan Mahayana tradition that emphasizes the integration of academic, practice, behavior, service, and training components.
