LAMA ZOPA RINPOCHE

100 MILLION MANI MANTRA RETREAT

OCTOBER 4-NOVEMBER 5, 2017

Registration is open from January 25, 2017

The Lama Tzong Khapa Institute is pleased to announce that from October 4th to November 5th, 2017, Lama Zopa Rinpoche will lead the 100 million “OM MANI PADME HUM” mantra retreat here in Pomaia. We are glad to offer this incredible opportunity which allows the accumulation of merits and purification of negativity, not only for ourselves but, for all the sentient beings and a contribution for authentic world peace.

Here is what Rinpoche tells us about it:

“The benefits of reciting the Mantra of the Buddha of Compassion are countless, as the sky has no limits. Even just one recitation of OM MANI PADME HUM purifies completely every breaking of the four-root vows of individual liberation and every other negative karma”.

The retreat will last one month and Rinpoche will lead a part of it. It is possible to participate, here in Pomaia, for a shorter period of time and it is also possible to participate from home, by following the teachings, reciting the sadhana and the mantra. At the end of the retreat the number of Mantras recited by everyone will be counted.
The last time that Rinpoche taught here in Pomaia was in 2014.

Receiving Rinpoche’s teachings is a precious opportunity for all, whether you are already one of his students or even if you have never met him.
Lama Tzong Khapa Institute is a FPMT Center and as such receives its vision and the abliliy to benifit all beings from the continuous source of inspiration repesente by Lama Zopa Rinpoche.

Please note that translations (no English), including Italian translation, will be available through an radio, therefore we advise you to bring with you your radio and headphones. Lama Zopa Rinpoche will speak in English.

The retreat will last one month and Lama Zopa Rinpoche will lead a part of it.
Please note that is only a tentative schedule and may be subject to change even on the very day of the session in question. Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s teachings are often longer than scheduled.

We will do 3 to 4 retreat sessions per day. The first session will start early in the morning. After the first or the second week, you will have the opportunity to take the Eight Mahayana Precepts every day before sunrise. Recitations will be guided by an experienced monk or a nun.
Lama Zopa Rinpoche will join us for different sessions, bestow teachings or simply recite mantras and meditate with the group. Mantras will be recited in silence, focusing one’s mind on different visualisations. Prostrations to 35 Buddhas are an integral part of each session.

The sadhana we will use during this retreat was written by Lama Zopa Rinpoche for this specific purpose, and it is based on the practice of Nyungne.

You can attend only part of the retreat here in Pomaia and you can also join us from the comfort of your home by listening to the teachings and reciting the sadhana and mantras. At the end of the retreat we will count the number of mantras we recited collectively.

E.g.: between 4 and 5 October you recited 50 mantras. Open the form, select your dates (from 4 October to 5 October), and in the ‘I recited’ field write ‘50’.
