JOB ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SEARCH FOR NEW EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM COORDINATOR (SPC)

The Education Program Coordinator/SPC at the Istituto Lama Tzong Khapa is responsible for the planning and execution of all educational programs, practices, ceremonies, seminars, and special events that take place at the Centre. He or she will operate in strict liaison with the Centre Director for the fulLilment of the Education and Spiritual program established by the FPMT International OfLice’s Education Department. In this role he or she will, amongst other, coordinate the activities of teachers and translators, entertain relationships with academic and religious institutions, oversee the production of study material and be responsible for the archives.

The ideal candidate possesses a solid spiritual practice matured within the Gelug school of Tibetan Mahayana Buddhism. He or she identiLies with the founding principles of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition and has accepted the spirit, ethics and mission set forth by its founders Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche.

Has matured an academic or experiential background in the Lield of Philosophical Studies or Mind Sciences and is familiar with the FPMT Education Programs, possibly as a student of the either the Master or Basic Program.
Experience gained in an FPMT Centre in the role of: director, SPC, course coordinator or Member of the Board would be a preferred skill.

The candidate has excellent interpersonal skills, aptitude for teamwork, adaptability, and be able to coordinate and lead a complex organisation.

Furthermore, we require the candidate to:

• Relocate nearby the Istituto Lama Tzong Khapa in Pomaia (Italy)
• Be willing to work Llexible hours and over the weekends
• Possess a good proLiciency with the Italian and English languages – written and spoken
• Be available to travel within Italy or abroad
• Possess a driver’s licence
• Possess excellent knowledge of the main SW tools (MS OfLice suite, video-conferencingsystems). Knowledge of more advanced SW packages such as SQL server would be greatly appreciated.
