Blessing and Consecration of Statues
A series of ceremonies will take place at the Institute from 2nd to 4th December, in a private form and guided by the resident teachers, Ven. Geshe Tenzin Tenphel and Ven. Geshe Jampa Gelek. At that time it will be possible to fill and bless the statues representing the Buddha and have them consecrated.
The benefits that derive from only seeing an image of the Buddha are infinite, yet blessings increase enormously if the statues representing the Buddha are consecrated.
The consecration takes place during the practice of a specific Puja, and is carried out while the statues are being filled with mantras and sacred objects, such as relics or other images of the Buddha.
Those who wish, can bring their statues to Ufficio della Didattica of the Institute by 30th November. The statues must be marked (with a card well tied to the statue or with an indelible writing at the bottom of the statue) with the name, surname and telephone number of the owner.
The statues can be then collected from 5th to 9th December.
It is also possible to send the statue to the following address:
Istituto Lama Tzong Khapa
c/o Area Didattica
via Poggiberna 15 – 56040 Pomaia Pisa
We invite you to spread the word among acquaintances and friends who might be interested, as the opportunity to have the statues blessed in official ceremonies is very rare.
